Style story: Chanel Oberlin (From Scream Queens)

Emma Roberts on  'Scream Queens' is creating a look of legend in the fashion world.  It's been a while since a new TV show evoked a certain fashion envy within me. First it was Gossip Girl, then Sex and the City (yes I watched Gossip Girl first) and now finally there's something else! Emma's character, Chanel Oberlin is the stand out style star of the cast. From classic blazers to wild fur coats and glam gowns, there's nothing this girl can't rock. Imagine a modern day Grace Kelly mixed with a preppy Hamptons style and an edge that can only be described as, well, sass. Her GIGANTIC wardrobe is one made of dreams, filled with so much fur, sparkle and glam any girl would jump up and down to get a chance to own. For me, one of the best parts about the show is being able to witness Chanel's amazing sense of style in all it's glory.

Style story: Liv Tyler (90s)

Liv Tyler in Empire Records is about as school girl sexy as any movie character can be. With her tartan skirt, cut off mohair sweater and chunky man boots, she was the inspiration for ever girl and the desire of every man. The look is perfect, that being said nearly everything Liv wore in the 90s was. Denim skirts, chokers and cropped jumpers were the go to and paired with her thick, brunette teases, she was everything good about the era. Like model, writer and TV presenter, Alexa Chung said in her novel 'It' about Liv in Empire Records, "Worn with even a scrap of makeup on with this look it would push it to the obscene, but worn with a fresh face it does the job perfectly" And I think that sums it all up quite nicely.

Style story: Taylor Swift

From crop tops, polka dots and high waisted shorts, Taylor is very well known for her feminine signature style. When she first popped onto the scene she was a teenage country princess, since then her fashion has developed into something we can only call her own brand. A few years back she charmed the world with only a guitar and a smile but now she is charming the fashion industry with her plethora of looks. From cutout jumpsuits to elegant dresses, is there anything she can't rock? Never does a day go past where Taylor doesn't step out of her Tribeca apartment in some cute, charming and elegant look. If anything, her move to New York only solidified her high fashion status and improved her personal style even more. What's that quote they say? You can take the girl out of New York but you can't take the New York out of the girl! ;)

Style story: Ali Hamilton (The Notebook)

She wore her heart on her sleeve and some of the best fashions to come out of the 40s. Ali Hamilton from The Notebook was and will remain forever more my favourite female Nicholas Sparks character. Even now her vintage inspired ensembles have a modern appeal. The Notebook is set in the 1940's, an era in America defined by high waisted shorts, playsuits and big accessories and Ali wore all of these with elegance and spirit. As her character grew older, her clothes matured with her. After collage she wore lots of blazers and hats, gone were the playsuits and loose curls, she was now a woman. However from the moment Ali hit the screen, she charmed every member of the audience. With her blonde locks, red lips and contagious laugh she made cinematic history.

Style story: Lily Rose Depp

Lily Rose Depp. There is no doubt you've been hearing that name a lot recently and for good reason. With her girl next door bob, pouting lips and killer cheekbones, Lily has a very promising career ahead of her in the fashion industry. I guess being the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and French model Vanessa Paradis does have it's perks. Born and breed in France, she's been turning heads for a while now with a certifiably grunge look.  Think lots of baggy denim, over sized tees, chokers, platform sneakers and matte makeup. Almost every outfit is a flashback to the 90s.

Style story: Lily Collins

Even thought Lily is the daughter of English rock star, Phi Collins her unique style is something all her own. No stranger to the limelight, Lily been acting from the ripe old age of 2 and spent her teen years writing for magazines such as the NY Times. However these aren't even the most dazzling thing about the young star. Over the last few years she has made quite an imprint in the fashion world. Capturing the attention of head designer and creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld. She is now considered a favourite of the well known fashion house and with her eclectic mix of punk leather, cardigans and point toe heels, there is no wonder.
Having reconciled her relationship with English actor and musician, Jamie Campbell Bower in May this year, Lily's style has developed a bit of an edgy chic look which only adds to her appeal.
The hair is as interesting as she is, from dark pixie cuts to long dry blonde strands, it's never the same for too long.  With her blood red jam lips and legendary brows she has made quite a fashion reputation for herself.

Style story: Cher (Clueless)

Despite having turned her closet inside our looking for her most professional ensemble ("Where's my white collarless shirt from Fred Segal!? It's my most capable looking outfit!") Cher still has the best wardrobe of any movie character in my opinion. Even though I'm sure it's not easy being the envy of of scheming Betties (female babes,) persistent Barneys (ugly guys) and teachers who go postal (freak out) when you turn your homework in late! Cher managed to keep it all together and still look amazing! With her immaculate blonde hair, manicured nails and killer fashion, Cher was the queen of the 90s.

Style story: Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn's escape was Palm Springs, a weekend away, all to herself. In blushes and beiges, she'd knot a scarf around her neck and jump into a convertible. Cat eye shades, always. And in her private moments -not many saw them- she was completely natural, stripped down to nothing but a mans shirt, fresh skin and Chanel No. 5 of course. Hollywood, it had a hold on her. But like she said, "beneath the makeup and behind the smile, she's just a girl who wished for the world."

Style story: Rachel Green (From Friends)

Whenever I am binge watching "Friends," I always find myself distracted by Rachel's outfits (especially in the earlier episodes.) While it's generally her iconic hair do that most remember, I think her style choices outshine her locks easily. She captures all the best fashion trends of the 90s and 2000s with such style. I mean, obviously Rachel was into fashion as she worked at Bloomingdales and then later Ralph Lauren but in my opinion she is indisputably the most stylish of the "Friends" bunch. From mini skirts and turtlenecks to over sized sweaters and sweatpants, Rachel stole the show and had me taking pictures of the screen the whole time.

Style story: Jennifer Lawrence

From the moment Jennifer Lawrence accepted an Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, she had the world wrapped around her pinky. Funny, confident and sexy, she is the true trifecta, however there is more to her then meets the eye.
Shaking out her blonde treases in an interview with Diane Sawyer she speaks of the difficulties someone as young as her can face in the acting industry. After a few moments of silence she cracks a joke and laughs of the issues. Suddenly, we are brought back to the Jennifer everyone knows her as.
Beautiful, funny, smart and down to earth, the envy of every woman. Similar to her style choices. Her contract with Dior enabled her to become a respected member of the fashion industry and since then we have watched her blossom into her true self.  Her clothes now express her elegance. She dresses with a certain class and sophistication that only Lawrence could master. At age 25 she is a dazzling hybrid, an award winning actress one moment and a young girl with big dreams from Kentucky the next.
With her tousled, blonde bob, athletic figure and sweetheart face, Lawrence will be the Marilyn that lives.

Style story: Lana Del Rey

Having grown up in New York City and lived in New Jersey, Lana Del Rey possesses a beauty so real and so raw. She captures what it's like to be a woman in love, jaded by all the deep, beautiful emotions that come with it. Her sad girl, bad girl vibe fused together with girl next door shorts and old Hollywood hair has become a symbol. Imagine, it's a late Saturday afternoon, middle of Summer, pouting in reds and oranges, she throws on a sundress and some heart shaped shades before jumping on the back of a motorbike.
And in these moments she is alive.

I have only included photos taken by Lana's sister Chuck Grant as I think that represent Lana in a truer light then her other photoshoots :))

Style story: Alexa Chung

Her quirky style is copied by millions around the world and with good reason. Alexa is the model that "dresses like a man but acts like a lady." And with her over sized coats, sweet blouses and tousled hair she captured the attention of people everywhere. Often referencing her style choices to icons such as Jane Birkin, Alexa has taken the fashion world by storm. There is something about her croaky voice and doll like eyes that enticed us all. She is the sort of girl that you can imagine sitting on a balcony as the rain falls down smoking an American Sprit and watching the world go by.

Style story: Drew Barrymore

Tinsletown born and bread, Drew had all eyes on her, all the time. Her teen years were like a movie in their own right. The rebel turned Guess girl had a look all her own. Faded denim, leather jackets and peaking bras. The hair was as wild as she was, tousled as beach blond, a cropped red bob and back again. With those bitten wine lips and smouldering eyes, she could conquer the world, or at least Hollywood
